I'll make one hell of an old lady....

I have a feeling I'm going to grow up to be like her. But you know, kinkier.

yeah. i think it's the difference between "art about sex" and "erotic art;" one focuses on the sex, the other focuses on the work as art. if you have more of an understanding of what art, sex, and erotic art are, you were granted the freedom to explore them and teach yourself, then the whole "forbidden fruit" element or shock/scandalous value has been eliminated, so you can more accurately evaluate the works as art. if you're uneducated or unfamiliar with sex, sexual politics, sexual culture, or sex in art, that's all you're going to see because you rarely see it otherwise.

i'm not sure if i'd ever collect erotic art, but i'm definitely going to be one of those cheeky old ladies.

totally off topic: ok, once upon a time, you said "stinker" was for nick and "p" was for pete. i'm sure we've gone over this before, but i'm still a little lost. who are you, exactly? where are you? i feel like i should know this, given how much we chat...
