2. I'm sick (probably not related to the craigslist thing)
3. Framing is a pain in the tush and super-expensive, but hot damn, if it's done right, it looks AMAZING.

what is wrong with CL? you did find some people there, didn't you?
i've gotten some "interesting" responses from people on CL. in general, i've actually met some very nice people through it, but my usual sex shoots are different than this masturbation project, so the responses are different. when i work with a couple, each person in that couple has someone to share the experience with, theyre not alone; it's more comfortable for them. when it's masturbation, and it's just them and me, it's more awkward, they probably feel more alone and vulnerable, our respective characters are much more scrutinized, and people are generally on the defensive. trust is always a factor with these kinds of shoots, but moreso when it's just one on one. so a lot of people are apprehensive, or don't trust my motives, or for some reason aren't comfortable with the situation. i don't blame them. however, because of how uncomfortable this type of shoot is, even for me, i have to be wary of the complete strangers who volunteer. i'd prefer to work with someone who was already vetted by a mutual friend, just because i trust my friends not to be friends with serial murderers or rapists or something. with CL, you don't know who you're getting.
i've gotten a few volunteers from people through CL, and i know it may sound like a "beggars can't be choosers" situation, but i'd rather wait and see who i can work with through mutual friends before i work with a complete stranger.
