I'm slowly trying to move away from hardcore erotica. I'm losing my edge, and I'm tired of getting harassed. It pays the bills, so I can't completely abandon it, but I'm much more stimulated (creatively) by portraits like this. Don't worry, I won't be doing kids portraits anytime soon.

New Work

Contrary to popular belief, I've been working. Most of my recent shoots have been private sessions, so you can't see any of them. The other shoots were for Nerve Magazine, which I can't legally show you until they post them, which could take a few weeks. However, I had a fantastic shoot last weekend that was intended for Nerve, but there's a chance they can't use them, so I was allowed to play around with them.

A and B are the same picture, but I couldn't decide between monochrome and color. Any votes?

"In the Flesh" at Target Gallery

"Heather" was one of 25 works selected for "In the Flesh" at Target Gallery in DC, showing from Sept. 13-Oct. 13. I might try to fly out there then, maybe celebrate a belated birthday with my family.

AU Prof and painter Tim Doud was the juror. I took his class for about two weeks the fall of my sophomore year of college before dropping it, convinced I wasn't going to need it as I was certain I had a future in Visual Media/Communications/Journalism. We can see how that turned out. I'm sure he doesn't remember me....
